October Beauty Favorites

October has been a slow month for me; however, now that we are nearing the holidays it's about to get stressful! Through the month I have been loving a few beauty products and I wanted to share them with you.

My absolute favorite this month has been the Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Anti-Frizz Serum. I have very curly hair but the curls are usually over taken by frizz. I've tried so many products and this Serum was the only one that has worked so far. It's cheaper than most of the things that I've tried in the past too!

Another fact about me is I have very dry skin. For a while I was using Johnson & Johnson's Baby lotion but I thought it was time for something more "grown-up". I have heard many great reviews on Gilchrist and Soames Body Lotion so I figured I give it a try. I am now in love with the brand and all their products! My skin has never been so soft!

Along with my dry skin, I have dry lips :( I'm sure we all know the feeling of dry, or cracked lips. Not fun. I found the Maybelline Baby Lips Dr. Rescue in Too Cool to be perfect for me. It keeps my lips hydrated for hours and helps repair cracks. Along with this I like to layer LAQA & Co's Lip Lube Pencil over it. The pink is the perfect color for my skin tone.

Let's focus on the eyes... I'm not a big makeup wearer I must say. However, the Cynthia Rowley Eyeliner in Black has become a staple in my look. It goes on so smoothly. I can put on eyeliner, mascara and call it a day!

The next product I've had for months and I still love it the same as the day I bought it. The One Direction Our Moment Perfume is one of the best smells to me. I personally have a hard time picking perfumes because I don't like anything musky or too floral. I'm sure you are all thinking One Direction really?! But it's a great fragrance and has long wear.

Thanks for reading see you tomorrow for Halloween! xx

Favorite Bridal Collections-Fall 2015

The Bridal Collections for Fall 2015 have all be unveiled! I was overwhelmed by the amount of Lace this season but why put an end to such a classic fabric. There were so many dresses individually that I loved but if I listed them all we would be here for hours! So for now I have picked a few collections that I loved as a whole.

I think the use of embellishments in Monique Lhuillier Bridal was stunning! I’m all for sparkle and boy did Monique deliver with her collection. I also thought that both Pamella Roland and Oscar de la Renta had classic looks in their collections with a few unexpected touches to make the collections really stand out. However, if you are looking for a simple yet elegant dress for your walk down the aisle, Lela Rose Bridal has some stunning gowns.

Below are a couple of my favorite looks from each designer.

Media Monday- Passing of a Legend

Welcome to the first Media Monday!

Every Monday I am going to post something media related, whether its music, a video, or something talked about in the press. Every day will eventually have a theme but I’m taking my time choosing the perfect themes for each day.

One of my favorite fashion designers passed away this week and I couldn’t think of anything better to start with than talking about Oscar de la Renta. I’ve always seen celebrities dressed in his clothing and I remember always falling in love with the beauty of them. Oscar knew how to make garments that enhanced a woman’s natural beauty. I have looked to Oscar de la Renta for years even before heading off to fashion school. His ideals are something that always stick in my mind while getting dressed in the mornings.

“Fashion is about dressing according to what’s fashionable. Style is more about being yourself.” – Oscar de la Renta
