FBF: Baby Fashionista!

It's a Flash Back Friday!

Thought it would be fun to share a few pictures of me from when I was younger. I have always loved fashion and being dressed up. Perfect for my mother who loved to dress me in anything frilly and lacey. While I have no memory of any of these clothes or events, I do remember being over dressed for every occasion. Still me to this day!

My Fashion Tips and Tricks

There are so many tips and tricks in the world of fashion. I am here to share with you my favorites and ones that I live by. Maybe this list will give you some inspiration or confidence to wear what you have always wanted to.

1. Purchase the right Undergarments. Bras, underwear, and body shapers can all effect the way a certain garment looks on your body. These pieces can also boost your confidence just by having the right items in your wardrobe. I recommend getting fitted for a bra yearly. So much happens to our bodies in the course of a year you never know what can change.

2. Know your body shape. There are so many body shapes out there and you may not just be one specifically but a mixture of two.

Pear- Narrow on top, Bigger on Bottom
Apple- Bigger on top, Narrow on Bottom
Hourglass- Even on top and bottom with a defined waist
Boyish/Athletic- Straight from top to bottom, can have wider shoulders

3. Nude Shoes are your best friend. Whether you love wearing heels or flats, nude versions of your favs are a great idea. They go with every outfit and make your legs look longer. Remember when buying a nude shoe it should closely match your skin tone.

4. Have a go to outfit for work and for a night out. It is always a good idea to have a staple outfit that you can put on if you are running late, if you can't make up your mind, or if you get a last minute invite. This outfit should be something you feel comfortable in and something you can change up with your accessories.

5. No matter your size you can wear Patterns and Prints. For people who think they can't wear a certain print or pattern I am telling you go for it. What matters is the sizing. If you are smaller in the area you want the pattern you can go as small or as large as you want. You've got it easy. For people who are larger in the area where you want the print or pattern go for smaller patterns (polka dots, stripes, etc.) Print on the other hand (floral) you can sometimes opt for a larger version. It's all about proportions.

6. Loose and Tight. Think about your clothing when you are picking it out. If you are going for a loose, flowy top then try to keep your pants slim fitting. Same goes for if you pick out a slim top, go for looser/wider bottoms. It balances out your body.

7. Check if clothing is see-through. Before leaving your house for work or an event, check yourself in the sunlight or with a flash photo. So many people have been the victims of flash photography showing their undergarments. Ask a boyfriend, spouse, friend, sibling to check your top and bottom for see-through pieces!

I hope all the tips above will help you improve your fashion or boost your confidence!

Spencer

What's In My Bag!

This post is something that Bloggers and Youtubers all do about once a year and I will be no different. It's the infamous "What's In My Bag?" post. But I thought it was fitting to do this now since I just bought a new purse for the spring/summer. I decided it was finally time to use the money I had been saving for that one special item. As you can probably guess I bought myself a Kate Spade purse and wallet. Because you have to match!

I always find these "Bag" posts really interesting mainly due to how much stuff people carry around with them. I try to keep mine to the bare minimum.

Kleenex Tissues
Checkbook and Pen
IPhone Headphones and Charger
Bath & Body Works Hand Sanitizer
and Elephant holder
Ralph Lauren Sunglasses
Ice Breakers Mints

I hope you find it as enjoyable as I do to look into someone's life through their handbag!

Spencer

Photo Time!

I made the commitment! I got a bunch of photos I had taken last year printed. I am a huge believer in photos making a home more personal. I love having the ability to take an album off the shelf and looking through it at all the fun times within. In this digital age we live in, most people don't get their beautiful photos printed. I use Snapfish to print all of my photos, I even used them to print my graduation pictures. They are super cheap and always have some sort of deal on. Since I got over 300 photos printed, I needed a few albums to put all those memories in!

I got really lucky and found a few albums that I absolutely LOVE at Walmart. Now I didn't think I was going to find anything I liked when I decided to look at Walmart but, boy was I surprised. So don't be afraid to look for things at those random stores!
