Media Monday- McBusted

Enter the bands Busted and McFly! Some of you may remember these two UK pop-rock bands from the early 2000s, but what you may not know is that they have joined forces to create a super group!

They are on a world tour at the moment and have an album out titled, McBusted. Let me tell you, I am loving it! After all these years they can still find a way to put a new spin on a classic style of music.

One of their singles off the new album is Get Over It. I jam out to this song daily as I get dressed and it puts me in such an amazing mood! So here it is for your listening pleasure...

Thoughtful Thursday- Make Mistakes

Source

As of right now I am two months away from graduating college, and to be honest I have no clue what I'm going to do once I graduate. I'm scared for what the future is going to bring me;but, at the same time I'm so excited to start a new part of my life. I have all these big dreams to move away from America but actually doing it is hard work.

One thing I've learned so far in my life is to make big choices and to make mistakes. If I move to London and end up hating it, I can always come back to New York and live my life. It's okay for me to be scared and to not be sure what's next for me, but I know I'm going to take risks and make myself happy.

Tuesday- New Sunglasses

I mentioned when I posted about my new Eyeglasses that I also purchased Sunglasses. Guess what?! They are here and I'm so happy I picked the frames I did. They look so good.

I purchased a pair of Ralph Lauren Tortoise shell/Light Blue Cat-Eye Sunnies from LensCrafters. I personally think the Cat-eye shape suits a lot of different face shapes, especially if you have a rounder/fuller face.

It's been years since I've had a pair of sunglasses and even longer since I last liked my sunglasses. I honestly act like I'm a movie star when I put them on. I don't care what anyone says about that bit of information, I just love my sunnies! haha :)

Fashion Friday- H&M Haul

Over the past few weeks I've been adding pieces to my wardrobe. I realized that I needed necklaces that were more delicate. All I really have is big statement necklaces in different lengths. So I picked some things up at H&M that I thought are staple pieces in any wardrobe. Hopefully this will give you a little inspiration on your next shopping trip.

First, are the necklaces. I got a simple chain that is about 34 inches long. To compliment this I got a thin chain that has a small crystal pendant that is 32 inches long. Right before checking out I saw a collection of 7 necklaces that are meant to be layered together or separately with other necklaces.

I also really like a pair of heeled boots at the store. They have a 3 inch chunky heel but are so comfortable to walk in. At first they look pretty bland because they seem to be just black but the boot has a suede back and stitched detailing in the front. I also grabbed a pair of black Stretch Skinny Jeans, because you always need black jeans. They go with just about everything.

Thoughtful Thursday- Tea & Cake

Source

March has been a rough month for me and It is going to continue to be. With Midterms, research papers due, working, and the BHS Play happening, I'm so busy I barely have time to eat or sleep. This being said, I am taking time for myself by writing these blog posts. I was trying to find way to keep me sane and this has become it! Also, it gives me a chance to eat something sweet and think about myself!

Tuesday: Steal Her Look- Emma Stone

I love Emma's laid back style. It's perfect for running errands on the weekend. With this warmer weather that has come upon us we won't be needing as many layers!

Most people don't like mixing Black and brown, I will admit to being one of those people, but I've been gravitating more towards mixing them. The style rules have changed. Depending on the color brown you choose, it will look good! by keeping the colors all neutrals it makes the look sophisticated. Change up the scarf or bag to make the look yours, but I would recommend keeping the colors to black, brown, and white.

Sunglasses: BooHoo
Black Lightweight Sweater: H&M
Straight Leg Jeans: Gap
Brown Boots: DSW
Taupe Scarf: Forever21
Reversible Tote Bag: Target

Media Monday- Meeting Lane Napper

I'm not sure if I have mentioned before but I am a huge lover of the art of Dance. I personally favor Tap dance and take class every week at Stepping Stone Dance Studio.

I got the amazing opportunity to take a Tap Master Class at from dancer and choreographer Lane Napper this weekend. He has worked with Nickelodeon for the past few years and his work can be seen on shows such as Victorious, iCarly, and Sam & Cat. Lane has a very broadway style dance background, which is my absolute favorite!

Lane has such a fun personality and I'm so glad I got to experience learning from him. Learning a routine from a choreographer is different than from you local dance teacher. A Choreographer of his nature deals with world class dancers on a daily basis, so he expects a lot from you. He was so relaxed in his teaching though, and he would stop for questions and to go over steps if needed.
