OOTD: Peachy Keen

Spending the day on the beach is fun but spending the day on the boards is even better! I love walking the mile long boardwalk and seeing all the shops. (Not to mention spending all my money.)

It's amazing to me how confident people are when they go on vacation. I see so many people wearing things they probably never would at home. Maybe it's the fact that no one knows who you are or just that it's so stinking hot. All I know is I love seeing people with the confidence to be themselves.

OOTD: Olive & Khaki

This week I'm in Wildwood on vacation so get ready for a bunch of posts to be coming your way! I will be taking a whole lot of OOTD pictures for you all. My one rule for vacation dressing, be comfortable but put together. I hardly ever wear jewelry while I'm away because sunblock can ruin metals and you will get awkward tan lines (in my case sunburn).

For my first day, I just wanted something easy to walk around in. We headed to the shopping mall for a couple of hours and were lucky enough to find a Marketplace full of crafters and local businesses. We also stopped at the local bookshop and information center.

Mommy & Me

Mommy & Me style has boomed in the past few years due to fashion influenced celebrities having more and more babies! You and your child, or children, matching doesn't always mean wearing the exact same items of clothing. It can mean all of you wearing the same colors or type of garment. Below I've put together a few of my favorite Mommy & Me looks!

Summer Denim: Keep it cool in denim dresses. Great for a mommy/daughter day out or for a picnic! Two different styles to reflect your own personalities.

Mom

Daughter

Orange You Glad: Matching within the same color scheme but totally different patterns! By both wearing orange tops and similar jeweled shoes there is doubt that you two are twinning!

Mom

Daughter

A Family Affair: Whether you have a boy, girl, or both you can all match in similar colored strips and jeans!

Mom

Daughter

Son

I would love to see some pictures of you and your little ones matching! Tag me on Facebook and Instagram or post a picture in the comments below!

Thank you,
Spencer

Fashion Friday- Summer Casual

Summer is a time to relax and have fun with your friends and family. Below is my everyday look in the summer: simple t-shirt or tank and a pair of shorts. These pieces are so easy to put on and I feel put together even if I'm in a hurry.

The key to pulling off this look, and not seem as if you rolled out of bed, is a well made t-shirt and shorts that fit you till about mid thigh. Anything shorter will look sloppy. Same goes for the shoes, rubber flip flops are not going to pull the look together; however, an embellished flip flop or sandal would.

Tuesday- Steal her Look: Candice Swanepoel

Candice's everyday style is very classic and laid back. Plus, she always looks put together. Considering she's a model, would we expect anything less? I love how she is only using basics in neutral colors to create this look. Because all of these pieces are basics, the look can be transformed from a day look to a night look with just a switch of accessories. This style of skirt looks good on every body type and you can change the shirt to something a little looser if you are wanting to hide something.

Tuesday- Children's: Spring 2015 Clothing

I'm passionate about all aspects of fashion, whether it's women's, men's or children's fashion. More recently, I've been starting to obsess over children's fashion. I find it interesting that their clothing options are not far from adults options. I think it's adorable to see young children/toddlers dressed like their parents (yes, I'm one of those people). I wanted to share some cute children's outfit ideas of my own for Spring/Summer.

Tuesday: Steal Her Look- Emma Stone

I love Emma's laid back style. It's perfect for running errands on the weekend. With this warmer weather that has come upon us we won't be needing as many layers!

Most people don't like mixing Black and brown, I will admit to being one of those people, but I've been gravitating more towards mixing them. The style rules have changed. Depending on the color brown you choose, it will look good! by keeping the colors all neutrals it makes the look sophisticated. Change up the scarf or bag to make the look yours, but I would recommend keeping the colors to black, brown, and white.

Saturday Surprise- Valentine's Day Wear

A surprise for you on this Saturday! I have put together a few looks for the last minute Valentine's Day plans! Whether you are going to a movie or to a fancy dinner, there is something for you.

The style of dress below, A-line, flatters most body types. Adding the belt helps make your waist look even smaller than the dress does.

Silver Sandals: Forever21
Black Handbag: Forever21
Bracelet: Target

When wearing a high waisted skirt, shown below, make sure that the shirt your tucking in is either form fitting or has enough fabric to bellow over the top a bit.

Black T-Shirt: Target

The mix of the light pink and dark burgundy gives this outfit interest. The detailing on the sweater also helps to bring the eye toward your face without adding a necklace which could snag on your sweater.

Fashion Friday- Red and Green

One of my favorite outfits that I wear Fall through Spring is this. I love Army green paired with a bright red. In the Spring I wear a T-shirt under the Blazer but for winter I'm wearing a long sleeve shirt. I think this look is perfect for work or school. Due to the gold buttons on the shirt I kept the accessories to a minimum. I enjoy how classic this outfit is but still looks modern because of the colored jacket.

What I Wore Wednesday- Dog Walker

I rarely am the person who walks the family dog, Max, but I figured if I was going to brave the cold for outfit pictures I should take him along as well. He did not care that I was taking pictures at all. As they say, you should never work with pets or children...

What I Wore Wednesday- A Snowy Day

White Fuzzy Sweater: Alloy
White Cami: Forever21
Blue/Green Jeggings: ?
Black Tall Boots: Pink & Pepper at DSW

It has finally snowed! I personally love snow; however, not so much the cold. Since it has snowed and I am working today, I need to be able to move around a lot and still warm. What's better than a furry sweater and jean leggings? I have had these pants for a couple of years so I'm not sure where they are from exactly. I believe it might be JCPenny or WalMart.

Thank you
xx Spencer

Tuesday- Pantone's Color of the Year 2015 Companion Colors

A Few weeks ago I made a post about Pantone's Color of the Year 2015, Marsala.

I wanted to share with you some colors that work well with Marsala and show you some outfit ideas as well.

Marsala is close to the color Burgundy but is a bit lighter. I think that most stores are going to translate Marsala into their collections through the color Burgundy though.

Some colors that work with and look great with Marsala/Burgundy are greys, very light purple, olive green, most browns, and pink.

In the outfit below, we are using Camel and olive green as base colors so that the Marsala colored pants will pop. Keeping the accessories simple helps to not overwhelm the look.

Necklaces, Earrings, and Boots: Forever 21

The next outfit focuses on the top as a standout piece. This look is more casual than the two other outfits shown. Since it is more simple the accessories are again simple pieces.

Earrings, Bag, and Boots: Forever21

The final look has similar colors to the one above however, it has a pop of pink in the shoes. This will help to draw the eye down the entire outfit.

Jewel Necklace and Clutch: Forever21

I hope this has given you some inspiration and you will try to experiment with these
colors on your own!

Thank you
xx Spencer
